Rail in the Water-Picture of the Week

This picture was posted on YachtPals.com as the this week. This was taken during a race when a gust a of wind came up unexpectedly, causing the spinnaker to drown in 65lbs of water. This crew had to act fast on what to do next.

Now this is what we fondly like to call, “Rail in the Water”. The guy in red is practically standing on the mast. This incredibly intense moment for the crew is now forever immortalized by photographer Sara Proctor.

I like what YachtPals.com had to say about this picture: Riding the edge requires quick minds and hands, and what looks disastrous here was only a momentary “uncomfortable situation” for vessel and crew…”

Way to go guys, hope you enjoyed the ride!
