OK Hobie Sailors- Here’s our video of the week this week. It’s the History of Hobie Part One. At first glance, I know what you’re thinking, it’s 9 minutes..boring! But after watching this, I thought it was really interesting. Like did you know the day Hobie Alter opened up his first surf shop in the 60’s he sold out of every surf board he’d made? Or did you know that Hobie got into the skateboard business before he ever produced his first Hobie Cat? Interesting stuff right?
If you’re really just interested in the sailing part, skip forward to 7:15. I have never seen a Hobie do that in real life. Wish I was on that boat in the video…well maybe not. I like a little flying but that…I’ll just let you watch and see.
