A few years ago, we were in the Utah Summer Games, competing for the first time and we met our friend Ben.
Ben has been sai
ling for years and has connection to anything Hobie related all over Utah and the West Coast. Ben developed a Righting line for his Hobie 16, to help when those strong gusts of wind come up, and your mast hits the water.
We bought our Hobie from one of Ben’s friends and it already had the righting line attached. After taking a couple of heavy winds in our new boat, we were able to test it out and we loved it so much we decided to make a video about it. It has become one of our most popular videos on YouTube and we get all kinds of questions about it on our video and Facebook page.
