I found this handy little speaker case quite by accident. I was looking for a waterproof case for my iPhone, and happened upon the Grace Digital Eco Extreme 3.5mm Aux Waterproof Portable Speaker Case. I found it on Amazon.
I was impressed with it because, not only did it hook up to my phone, but it can be hands free. The speaker connects to my phone. It also connects to an iPod, or mp3 Player, and has a speaker that projects loud enough for me to hear while sailing. It has a 3-inch speaker. It isn’t ear splitting loud, but loud enough. I might not be able to answer my phone when it rings as it depends on what is happening at that moment while on my boat. I haven’t tried it in heavy gale, and to tell the truth, I haven’t run into much wind so far this sailing season.
Another feature that I like about this speaker case, is that it is a case. In other words, there is a little bit of extra space, so I can throw in my credit cards, license, or whatever, and maybe even a car key. It is suppose to be dust proof as well. It takes 3 AAA batteries and can play for up to 30 hours. It also comes in a variety of seven colors. For a small boat it works out nicely.
