Close Call Capsizing Video for Oracle Team USA
During an official practice in Bermuda, Oracle Team USA hits an unexpected gust of wind, flies a hull, and then almost capsizes. Thankfully, the team was able to “depower the boat and settle back on two hulls.” Serious damage could have ensued had the boat capsized which would have been a devastating loss for Oracle Team USA this close to the official race. They say practice makes perfect, and sometimes practicing means you have to smooth out some bumps and unexpected mishaps. Go team USA! (I guess you know who we are cheering for ;).
